Edward Russell Smith of Hillsboro, age 66, died Sunday night, July 31, in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Danville, Illinois. He was born at Perrysville, October 22, 1916, the son of Wheeler and Jessie Belle Warren Smith. January 27, 1944, he married Anna E. McLain, who survives. He had been a farmer most of his life and had moved from Tab to Hillsboro on July 1.
Also surviving are three sons, Kerele of Covington and Jim and Lonnie, both of Bloomington, Illinois; a sister, Edna Stultz of Lafayette; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home in Covington with Rev. Paul Kent officiating. – thanks to S
