She was a life long resident of Fountain County Indiana.  The collection is now housed in the Fountain County Section of Local History at Crawfordsville District Public Library.

VEEDERSBURG – Everette A. Smith, 78, former resident of Veedersburg, died July 4 in Tipton County Hospital. Mr. Smith had been a resident of Lapel for the past 47 years moving there from Veedersburg in 1930. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the American Legion Post 212, Lapel. He was married to Kathryn Lowe, who died in 1974. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Nesota Goodrich of Tipton, and Mrs. Mavis Harger of Lafayette; two sons, Thad Smith of Noblesville, and Jody Smith of Anderson; one sister, Mrs. Phynus Merryman of Covington; and a brother, Roy S. Smith of Mellott. – jlr
