James Albert SMITH for the past 25 years a resident of near Kingman died at his home Monday night at 7:30 o'clock after a 7 weeks' illness from a complication of diseases. Mr. Smith was born September 12, 1861 the son of Archibald & Harriet RUSH Smith. On May 13, 1889 he was united in marriage to Minnie Mitchell. Besides the wife, one son, Ival Smith at home and five daughters, Mrs. Lulu Catterson of Sylvania; Mrs. Ruby Barker of Cates; Mrs. Edith Clore of Sylvania; Mrs. Myrtle Hess of Clinton; and Miss Hallie Smith at home survive. One sister, Mrs. Lou Roberts of Waynetown and one brother, Charles Smith of Waynetown survive, as do 9 grandchildren. The funeral services will be conducted from the Rush Creek Church near Sylvania Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 with the Rev. JR McHargue of Kingman in Charge. Burial will be in the Wallace Lutheran Church.
