SMITH, Opal Love

Opal Lydia Smith, 87, RR 1, Crawfordsville, died April 27 in Culver Hospital. She had been ill three years.
  A graduate of Indiana Business College, she was a telephone operator at Darlington. She was a member of Providence Christian Church and the Ladies Aid.

  Mrs. Smith was born August 5, 1895 in Boone County, the daughter of Edgar Allen and Nora Stout Love. She married Everett L. Smith December 22, 1919 at Crawfordsville, who survives.

  Other survivors are a daughter, Evelyn, at home; two sons, Harney L. of RR 3, Crawfordsville, and Herman A. of RR 1, Kingman; eight grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers.

  Services were conducted April 30 at Burkhart Funeral Home, Darlington Chapel, with Rev. Larry Melvin officiating. Burial was in Greenlawn Cemetery at Darlington. -s
