Ray C. Wait, age 80, of Rileysburg Rd., uncle of Clarence (Skinny) Wait of this city, died Sunday evening, Jan. 27, at South Miami Hospital, Miami, Fla., where he had been hospitalized one week with a heart condition. Mr. Wait left his home on Rileysburg Rd. Thanksgiving Day to spend the winter with a daughter, Mrs. Carolyn Cagann of Miami. He was a leader in Democratic county politics for years and former Vermilion County auditor and Danville Township supervisor. The body was brought to the Berhalter Funeral Home in Danville where services will be held at 2 p. m. Thursday. Burial will be in Old Atherton Cemetery. --typed by Walt W
