Friends and relatives here received word Monday of the death
of a former Hillsboro resident, Elsie Bever Walker, 77, widow of C.R.
Walker, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Garbert in
Wilmington,
Delaware. The body arrived in Waynetown Wednesday
afternoon and was taken to the Grenard & Servies Funeral Home to remain
until the funeral service which was held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Waynetown
Baptist Church with burial in the Masonic Cemetery. Mrs. Walker was
born and reared in this vicinity where she is well known. She is
survived by two daughters, Mrs. Cassie McNair of Miami, Fla and Mrs.
Garbert, at whose home she died. Three grandchildren and four sisters,
Mrs. Anna Anna Rosenbarger, Mrs. Ora Vancleve and Mrs. Carrie Whetsell, and
one brother, Sam Bever, also survives. --- transcribed by kbz -
