John William Walker, 70, former resident of Hillsboro died suddenly at his home, 711 Milligan Street here Saturday afternoon at 1:05 o'clock. Death was due to apoplexy. Mr. Walker was born Sept 4, 1973 at Watseka, Ill. He was married in November 1902 to Sarah Catherine Wilt at Hillsboro. Mr. Walker was a member of the Christian Church.  Until his retirement from active business, Mr. Walker operated a grain elevator at Hillsboro where he lived for many years. The survivors include the wife; five children, Jack E. Walker, local barber; Mrs. Russell Dickey of North Vernon, Ind; Miss Faye Walker at home; Mrs. Sherman harris of New Ross and John C. Walker at home and 11 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Proffit & Sons Funeral Home Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock with Rev. Grant Barton, pastor of the Nazarene Church in charge. Burial will b ein the Wayentown Masonic Cemetery.
