ATTICA — Nina Florence (Simonson) Walter, 84, 203 S. McDonald St., Attica, died at 11:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, 2000 at her residence. She was born Feb. 9. 1916 in Ross, N.D., the daughter of Edward and Olivia Anslth Simonson. She married John William “Bill” Walter March 9, 1937 in the Rev. Jackson home in Attica. He preceded in death Oct. 29, 1997. She was raised and educated in Ross and had lived in Attica most of her life. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Attica First United Methodist Church, Kappa Kappa Sorority of Attica, was an avid golfer and a member of West Central Women Golf Association and she was a former member of Harrison Hills Country Club. Survivors include: two sons, Jack D. Walter, Lafayette and Jeffry L. Walter, Mooresville; a sister, Alta Smith, Hillsboro; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a great-grandson and several brothers and sisters. Gravesite services will be at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday) in Riverside Cemetery, Attica, with the Rev. Phillip Crubaugh officiating. Maus Funeral Home, Attica, was in charge of arrangements. – jlr
