WARFIELD, Anna

Waynetown March 18 - Word was received here today of the death of Mrs. Anna K. Warfield, a former resident of this community at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Manford Livengood, 219 W. 52nd Street, Indianapolis at eight o'clock this morning. Mrs. Warfield had been seriously ill for four days, a cerebral hemorrhage finally taking her life this morning, it was said.

The dead woman was born near alamo Sept 17, 1848 the daughter of John and Sallie Roundtree, she was married on oct 15, 1872 to James G. Warfield, who passed away several years ago.  Mrs. Warfield with her husband, lived on a farm in this community for many years and was well known throughout this section of the state. Upon her husband's death, she removed to Indianapolis where she made her residence at the daughter's home where she died. She was affiliated with the Prairie Christian Church, six miles southwest of here.

Besides Mrs. Livengood at whose home she died, Mrs. Warfield is survived by two other daughters, Mrs. SM Davis also of Indianapolis and Mrs. Mary Utterback of Memphis, Tenn, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Services will be held at the local Baptist Church at 2 o'clock on Friday afternoon with Rev. WH Newlin, pastor of the Christian Church at Crawfordsville in charge.   The body will be brought to the Shular & Grenard Funeral Home here at 10:30 o'clock Friday morning where it will lie in state until time for the services.
