Joseph M. Watkins, 88, died at the family home, 1723 Indiana Avenue, Tuesday morning at 6 o'clock. Born in Warren county, he also lived in Fountain county before coming here. Sixty-two years ago he married Martha C. Kirts. He leaves his widow, also three children, Ben Watkins, Mrs. Mary Stafford and Mrs, Janette Balser, all of Lafayette.
Friends may call at the residence after noon Wednesday. Services there Thursday afternoon, followed by services at Salem church, near Attica; Rev. Glen Appleman officiating. Hippensteel and Funkhouser, funeral directors. – thanks so much to Kim H
