Mrs. Ruth Watkins, 85, of 515 Liberty, died at 2:45 a.m. Friday, May 18, 199, at Meadow Heights Nursing Home in Williamsport, Ind. She had been ill for 15 days.
Her hobbies included gardening and raising flowers. She had lived with a daughter, Mrs. Carl (Maxine) Toby of Covington for the past 23 years.
Born Dec. 23, 1893, in Warren County, she was the daughter of Sidney and Elizabeth Cronkhite.
Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Cecil (Dorothy) Myers of Georgetown, Ill.; a sister, Mrs. Esther Shoemaker of Shadeland; 15 grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Lowell Randles, and two brothers.
Services were Sunday at the DeVerter Funeral Home in Covington with the Rev. Edgar F. Allen officiating. Burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery. – thanks to S
