Veedersburg, Ind., Feb. 9—As the janitor was ringing the bell for school at Fountain, Ind., Thursday morning, the clapper in the bell became detached and fell to the ground, a distance of 40 feet, struck Charles Watts, a small boy, on the head and killed him.
