Covington, Ind Jan 19 – Joel Watts, a well known pioneer and
owner of the Portland Arch, located 7 miles north of this city is dead. Mr.
Watts was born in Hamilton County, Ohio May 30, 1825. His father was John Burgoyne Watts an early
settler of Western Ohio and he was a great great grandson of John Paul Jones.
