VEEDERSBURG — Funeral services for Miss Anna May Wertz, age 71, of 314 S. Mill St., who died at 9:25 p.m. Monday at her home, were held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Parham Funeral Home in Veedersburg, Bill Keller officiated and burial was in Rockfield Cemetery. Miss Wertz had resided in Veedersburg one and one half years and was a former resident of Indianapolis where she was a seamstress before retiring in 1965. She was a member of the Sterling Christian Church. She was born Nov. 17, 1899, in Veedersburg, the daughter of Charles N. and Mary Elizabeth Pierce Wertz. Survivors include: four sisters, Miss Helen Elizabeth Wertz, with whom she resided in Veedersburg, Mrs. Nellie Miller of Rossville, Ind., Mrs. Gertrude Servais and Mrs. Lois Robbins, both of Altadena., Calif.; and several nieces and nephews. -- typed by Walt W
