WAYNETOWN — Funeral services for Dale West were conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Servies Funeral Home, followed by burial in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Dale West, 42, a former resident, died suddenly of a coronary at 2 a.m. Sunday, April 5, 1964, at the home of Don Dazey where he was visiting. He had been ailing 14 months. Mr. West was born Oct. 16, 1921 at Mellott. His parents were John and Edith ( McCoy) West. He was married to Juanita Allen at Crawfordsville on Aug. 3, 1957. He was a member of the Waynetown Baptist Church and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Crawfordsville. He attended the Waynetown School and served in the U. S. Army from Feb. 3, 1945 to Aug. 4, 1946. After his childhood he lived in Waynetown and Crawfordsville until 1960 when he went to Phoenix, Ariz., and was back here on a two weeks vacation. He was to return to Phoenix Monday. He is survived by his wife, who arrived by plane from Phoenix, Sunday; also his mother, Mrs. Edith West, Waynetown; two daughters, Janet and Jackie; two sons Jerry and Jackie; three step daughters, Ouida, Melody and Pamela, residing in Phoenix; four sisters, Mrs. Helen Springer and Mrs. Mary Lewellen, Waynetown; Mrs. Maxine Welliver, Crawfordsville, and Mrs. Martha Hutchison, Wingate; ten brothers, George and James, Lafayette; Gerald, Linden; John T. Paul and Robert, Waynetown; Donald, of Rosedale, Oscar, Veedersburg; Max and Alfred, Crawfordsville; a number of nieces and nephews, two uncles and three aunts.   -- typed by Walt W
