WEST, Herman - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Herman West, 72, of Porter, Tex., a former resident of Wallace, died Saturday Oct. 30, 1976, at a hospital in Porter. He was a retired Sinclair Oil dealer and had resided in Porter for the past 10 years. Born Dec. 8, 1903, in Staunton, Ind., he was the son of Archibald and Jane Carpenter West. He was married in Wallace to Carol G. Grouse, who survives. He was a member of the Friendship United Methodist Church at Porter. Other survivors include a son, Herman D. of Houston, Tex.; a sister, Mrs. Olive Goranson of Conroe, Tex.; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Services at the Wallace Lutheran Church. The Rev. Karl Korbel officiated. Burial in the church cemetery.  -– jlr
