Be it remembered that on this 17th day of November 1840 personally appeared before me the undersigned, a Justice of the Peace of said County, Isaac Wamsley and Minny V. Simonson who being by me duly sworn on their oaths solemnly say that the foregoing appraisement by them made of the goods and chattles of James Thompson, deceased is just and true to the best of their knowledge and belief and further they say not. Received from John Wynn executor of the last will and testament of James Thompson deceased the following articles amounting as per appraisement to $968.25, the same being the balance of the personal property belonging to the estate of said deceased after the widows third is taken out an which according to the last will and testament of said deceased was will to my ward, John Thompson, child and heir of the said James Thompson, deceased.
