Obituary for Sharon Jane Rexing
Sharon Jane Rexing, 63, of Chandler, IN passed away Wednesday, January
22, 2020 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. She was born
February 12, 1956 in Evansville, IN to the late Oscar and Eloise
(Groeninger) Market.
Sharon was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister and friend. She
was loved not only by her kids and husband, for which she created a
strong, loving family, but she also worked tirelessly to do the same
for her extended families, always hosting family parties where everyone
was welcome and no one left hungry. Sharon worked at Wabash Plastics
for 31 years where she forged loving and caring relationships with many
of her coworkers.
Sharon is survived by her husband of 32 years, Donald Leo Rexing;
children, Donald Anthony (Natasha) Rexing; Mallory (Kevin) Edwards,
Michelle (Bart) Rexing and Jacob Rexing; foreign exchange student,
Hannes Wilke; grandchildren, Everett and Jack Edwards; sisters, Theresa
Hill, Diann (Keith) Calvert, and Janit Market; brother, Don (Renee)
Market; sister-in-law, Vicki Market; and countless in-laws, nieces,
nephews, great nieces, great nephews and her devoted dog, Rex.
In addition to her parents, Sharon is preceded in death by her brother,
Tom Market; her father and mother-in-law, Cletus and Tudy Rexing.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, January 27, 2020
at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Ave., Evansville,
47714. A Memorial service will begin at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Visitation will continue from 9:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 28,
2020 at St. John the Evangelist Church, 5301 Daylight Dr., Evansville,
IN 47725. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. with
Father Chris Forler officiating.
Burial will be at St.’s Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery, N. West St., Haubstadt, IN 47639.
