OWENSVILLE, Ind. — Mary Jane (Shoulders) Barrett, 67, passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2009, at St. Mary's Medical Center.

She was born November 1, 1941, in Haubstadt.

Mary Jane was the Executive Director of the United Way of Gibson County for 20 years. She graduated from Fort Branch High School in 1959.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Jerry Barrett of Owensville; 3 daughters, Lisa (Mike) Luff of Petersburg, Linda (Robert) Goodman of Vancouver, Wash., and Lana (Kelly) Malone of Tell City; 7 grandchildren, Amy, Nathan and Trent Goodman, Nikki and Tyler Luff, Kelsey and Brennan Malone; her mother, Mary Martin of Evansville; sister, Wilma Wathen of Mt. Vernon; and a brother, Tom Shoulders of Newburgh.

She was preceded by her father, Henry Shoulders.

Graveside services will be Saturday, April 4, at 1 p.m. at the Owensville Cemetery. She will be transported to the cemetery in our 1906 Crane & Breed horse-drawn hearse. Bart Newton officiating.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at Holders Funeral Home.
