OWENSVILLE, Ind. — Mary Josephine (Wilhite) Bush, 90, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2009, at the Gibson General Hospital.

She was born on November 14, 1918, in Fort Branch to the late Oscar and Clyde (English) Wilhite.

Mary Jo was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Owensville and former member of Fort Branch General Baptist Church.

Her husband of 68 years, James W. Bush, preceded her in death on January 2, 2009. She was also preceded by her 5 brothers, Ralph, Burnell, Garland, Joe and Burton Wilhite.

She is survived by her daughters, Paula (Lee) Burton of Greensboro, Ga., Doris Ann (Dennis) Heuring of Indianapolis, Norahlea (Jim) McKay of Johns Creek, Ga., and Cindy (Nick) Mayer of Owensville; grandchildren, Stan (Michelle) Burton, Dina Heuring, Andrea, Brian and Jason McKay, Matthew and Amanda Mayer; great-grandchildren, Zach and Clay Burton.

Funeral services at 10 a.m. Friday, March 6, at Holders Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Walnut Hill Cemetery in Fort Branch. Bart Newton will officiate.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
