OAKLAND CITY, Ind. — Gerald T. Pinnell, 60, of Oakland City, Ind., entered rest on Thursday March 5, 2009, at 4:25 p.m. at Memorial Hospital in Jasper, Ind. He was born on Jan 28, 1949, in Taylorsville, Ill. to James Earl and Mary Ellen (Hasselbrink) Pinnell.

He was a veteran of Vietnam conflict and life member of V.F.W. Post #1147 in Princeton. He retired from Wabash Mine after 32 years of service and member of U.M.W.A. He was a member Bowling League of Gibson Lanes and Linn's Lanes and avid golfer.

Surviving is his wife, Brenda Pinnell; son, Jeremy (Christy) Pinnell of Evansville; daughter, Andrea (Cecil) Armstrong of Lafayette, Ind.; grandchildren, Zane, Caleb and Savannah Armstrong; brothers, James K. Pinnell of Ireland, Ind., and Mark (Linda) Pinnell of Princeton, Ind.; sisters, Ellen (Terry) Myers of Princeton, Ind., and Esther (Bob) Wright of Princeton, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday March 10, 2009, at Oasis Assembly of God Church in Princeton, with Rev. Mike Marsh officiating, burial in Decker Chapel Cemetery near Patoka, Ind.

Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel and from noon Tuesday at the Church.
