PRINCETON, Ind. — Edgar T. Swan, 93, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2009, at his home. He was born December 25, 1915, in Huntingburg, Ind. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during WWII, retired from Whirlpool Corporation in Evansville and was a member of Eagles Aerie No. 361.

Survivors include four children, Edward (Shirley) Swan of Evansville, Robert (Roxanne) Swan of Evansville, Ida Katherine (Jack) Warren of Princeton and Carol (John) Hyneman of Princeton; a brother, Loren Swan of Medford, Ore.; twelve grandchildren, Julia Egan, David Swan, Kristel Swan, Andrew Swan, Landon Swan, Jackie Warren, Jeffrey Warren, Joel Warren, Jennifer Dunlap, Jon Hyneman, Jason Hyneman and Justin Hyneman; twenty-one great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a cousin, Carl (Norma) Altmeyer of Holland, Ind.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Amy (Marshall) Swan; a son, William Jack Swan; his wife, Thelma C. Swan on December 17, 1997; brothers, Elvis, Earl and Walter Swan; a sister, Vera Reisinger; and a half sister, Etoila Stinson.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 3, 2009, at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, officiated by Rev. Barry Wynveen and Hospice Chaplain, Genevieve McGuire. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Thursday at Colvin Funeral Home. Burial will be at Maple Hill Cemetery in Princeton.
