FORT BRANCH, Ind. — Elizabeth A. "Betty" Foster of Fort Branch, 88 years old, died May 24, 2009.

She was the wife of the late J. Vance Foster and is survived by her son, Jack and his wife, Frances, of New Orleans, La.; granddaughters, Reghan Diaz and her husband, Albert, of West Redding, Conn., and Rayne Selleh and her husband, Larry, of Edgewater, Md.; great-grandsons, Nelson, Hudson, and Jack Diaz; and great-granddaughters, Sloan and Peyton Selleh.

Betty was a long time member of the Fort Branch First Presbyterian Church, where she sang in the choir, was a faithful Pink Lady at Gibson County General Hospital for many years, and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and Psi Iota Xi Sorority.

Funeral services 3 p.m. Thursday, May 28, 2009, at the Fort Branch Presbyterian Church, Pastor James G. Cramer officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery, Fort Branch. A visitation period will be at the church from 2 p.m. until commencement of the funeral service at 3 p.m.

The family wishes to express its gratitude to the home health care workers who cared for Betty in their kind and diligent manner for a considerable period of time.
