PRINCETON, Ind.
— William F. Loveless, age 92 passed away Wed. July 22, 2009 at the Gibson
General Hospital
in Princeton. He was born June 13, 1917 in Mintonville,
KY, to John Thomas and Sarah Margaret (Dye)
Loveless. He had worked for the WPA and the CCC at Camp
Carson. He retired as a steel
burner for American Bridge
a division of US Steel, in Gary, IN,
where he worked for 20 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during
W.W. II. He belonged to the American Legion Post 25, formerly a member of the
Eagles.
William had lived in Princeton since 1982 moving back
after living in Gary for several
years. He enjoyed blue grass festivals and music. He enjoyed NASCAR racing and
especially Jeff Gordon. He collected many caps of all kinds.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Wilma, whom he married Aug. 9, 1938, son William
"Wayne" (Kathy) Loveless, Valparaiso,
IN. two daughters; Lois Jean Galanos, Princeton
and her special friend, Bobby Joe Hart. Norma (Chuck) Holmes, Kingman, IN,
8 grandchildren, Niki Galanos
Fisher, Milton, Billy and Terry Galanos, Lorri Holmes, Richard and Corey Loveless and Amy Holland,
and 21 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, grandson, Charles
"Corky" Holmes Jr. and two great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday July 25, 2009 at the Colvin Funeral
Home, burial will follow in the Columbia "White" Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m.
Friday. V.F.W. Post 1147 will conduct military graveside services.
