PRINCETON — Elizabeth Nann “Beth” Barkhurst, 60 of Princeton, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 23, 2009 at home.

She was born Feb. 7, 1949 in Marble Hill, Mo. to Hadley and Ruby Kirkpatrick.

She graduated from Vincennes University with a degree in accounting. She worked at the Patoka Banking Center as a teller.

Beth loved being with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed reading, gardening, and Bible study. She was a very loving mom and had a smile for everyone.

 

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Love Barkhurst of Moosul, Conn.; daughter and son-in-law, Renee and Robert D. Merrill of Princeton; five grandchildren, Robbie, Ryan, and Regan Merrill, Sunshine and Bear Barkhurst; sister and brother-in-law, Mary Ann and Jerome Ganes of Marble Hill, Mo.; several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial Services will be at 7 p.m. Friday Aug. 28, 2009 at Patoka United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Greg Davis officiating.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until service time Friday at the church.
