PRINCETON — Beulah Jane (Haynes) Brantley, 60, of Princeton, formerly of Somerset, Ky., passed away Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2009 at her home at after an illness.

Born Sept. 26, 1948, in Somerset, Ky., she was the daughter of the Tulla Tildon and Lina Elizabeth (Phillips) Haynes.

She was a 1966 graduate of Washington High School in Indianapolis. She was a member of the O.E.S. for over 25 year. She resided in Indiana since she was the age of 6. Beulah was a loving, devoted and loyal daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin and a friend to many who loved her and will miss her.

In her spare time before she fell disabled and sick, she loved keeping up the family tree and making sure her family knew that she loved and cared for them. Her children paid this tribute to her, "Mother was one of the kindest mothers you could ever meet. She opened her heart and her home to many children, family members and friends over the years and she will be sorely missed.

 

Survivors include three children, Laura Ann Middleton of Princeton, Melinda Jane Wyan of Parsons, Kan., Douglas Eugene Silvers of Huntingburg, three sisters, Eva Francis Bishop of Cincinnati, Ohio, Irene Kate Whitis of Sidney, Ohio, Della Elizabeth Slater of Kokomo; six grandchildren, Calvin, Phillip, Jessica, Mary, Victoria, Thomas, two great-granddaughters, Shaunna and Brionna; and one great-grandson, Harley

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, George Edward Haynes, Grover Haynes, Harold Gene Haynes; sister, Helen Marie Haynes; and and three grandchildren, Matthew Perry, Samuel Perry and Maria Perry.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home in Science Hill, Ky. with Brother David Muse officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
