OAKLAND CITY — Marjorie K. Dersch, 84, of Oakland City, passed away Monday, Aug. 31, 2009 at Select Hospital in Evansville.

Born Feb. 7, 1925 in Princeton, she was the daughter of Thomas and Vashti (O’Neal) McConnell.

Survivors include sons, John (Mary Lou) Dersch of Oakland City, Henry (Helen) Dersch of Eldorado, Ill.; sister, Wanda Evitts of Dittmer, Mo. brothers, Marvin (ImaJune) McConnell of Evansville, Howard (Bonnie) McConnell of Evansville; several grandchildren; and great-grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Adrian; son, Homer Dersch; three brothers; and a sister.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday Sept. 3, 2009 at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Pat McCandless officiating. Burial will be in Blackfoot Cemetery near Coe.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and from until services on Thursday at the chapel.
