FRANCISCO, Ind. — Elsie M. Earls, 84, of Francisco, passed away Friday, Sept. 4, 2009, at the Deaconess Hospital in Evansville. She was born April 24, 1925, in Francisco to Russell and Julie (Wagner) Morgan. She had lived in the Francisco area all of her life. She had worked as a welder for the Evansville Shipyards and for International Harvester. She retired from Hansen Corporation after working for them for 42 years.

She is survived by three sisters, Emma Snow, Elberfeld, Dorothy Cotton, Evansville and Elnora Linxwiler, Princeton; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Earls, in 1991, her parents, brothers, Harold (Pauline), Henry (Lois), Raymond (Naidene) and Dale (Cora) Morgan, and a sister, Katherine (Robert) Riddle.

She was a very caring friend, neighbor, sister and aunt who will be greatly missed by a number of family and friends whom she cared for and loved.

Funeral services 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009, at the Colvin Funeral Home, with the Rev. Robert McDonald officiating. Burial will follow in the Providence Cemetery near Francisco. Visitation will be Monday from 4 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
