HAUBSTADT — Marjorie A. (Schultheis) Hayden, 91, passed away Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009 at River Oaks Health Campus in Princeton.

Born Aug. 9, 1918 in Stanley, she was the daughter of Clarence and Florence (Bond) Nicholson. She was raised in Elberfeld. She resided in Haubstadt for more than 70 years. She retired as a waitress from Haub House.

Marjorie was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, the Altar Society and St. Bernadette Auxiliary 280. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, gardening, spending time with her family, the St. Louis Cardinals and NASCAR.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Wilfred “Jack” Schultheis; second husband, Damian Hayden; two sons, Robert Schultheis, Warren Schultheis who passed away in August 2009; sister, Dorothy Fair; and brother, Roy Nicholson.

Survivors include three daughters, Susie Martin (Ronald) of Mt. Vernon, Ind., Judy Streetman (Don) of Darmstadt, Betty Orth (Harold) of Evansville; three sons, Charles Schultheis of Spring Hill, Fla., Ed Schultheis (Jeannie) of Warrenton Dave Schultheis of West Lafayette; sister, Albion Burch of Darmstadt; 16 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Father Tony Ernst the celebrant. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Sunday at Wade Funeral Home with a memorial service at 6:30 p.m. Friends may also call 10 am. Monday until Mass time at the church.
