HAZLETON - Dora Jean Carson, 64, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2009 at home.

Born May 27, 1945, she was the daughter of Walter Eugene and Mary Alberta (Stevens) Bell.

She attended the Church of God in Evansville and the Hazleton Methodist Church. She was a homemaker and worked at JC Penny, in home health care and at Hazleton Industries. She also enjoyed working with crafts.

Survivors include her sons, Randall Robert Carson of Hazleton, Curtis Eugene Carson of Hazleton; her mother, Mary Alberta Bell of Linton; three sisters, Naomi LeDune of Linton, Mildred Angleton of Linton, Mary Blanton of Worthington, brother, William Bell of Sullivan; five grandchildren, Curtis Reneer, Brittany Jean Carson-Ramsay, Brandon Littlejohn, David Roberts and Krystina Roberts.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Randall Robert Carson Sr.; and her father, Walter Eugene Bell.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. (eastern) Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway St. Vincennes, with the Rev. Bill Heard officiating. Burial will follow in Hazleton Cemetery.

Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. (eastern) Friday at the funeral home.
