BRUCEVILLE - Bertis "Bert" E. Robb, 73, of Bruceville, passed away Monday, Oct. 5, 2009 at St. Vincent Seton Specialty Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born Sept. 26, 1936 in Princeton, he was the son of Bertis and Pauline Robb.

He was employed for 46 years in the auto parts business, working for Vincennes Auto and most recently at Wabash Parts. He enjoyed his customers who were his friends. He raced cars for many years at Princeton, Haubstadt, Olney, and other tracks. Bert enjoyed participating in classic car shows in which he won many trophies, and he also enjoyed woodworking. He served his country in US Army.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia (Holscher) Robb, whom he married April 12, 1998; a daughter, Angel White (Rod) of Bicknell; son, Bert Robb Jr. of Bruceville; two stepchildren, Mike Hoke, (Shelly) of Vincennes, Shely Hoke-McCammon of Vincennes; two brothers, Paul Robb of Colorado Springs, Colo., Robert Robb of Princeton, sister, Joyce Savell of New Mexico; five grandchildren, Amanda Harris, Anleigh Hoke, Cameron Hoke, Shaleigh McCammon, Brooke Hoke; and one great-granddaughter, Halee Pike.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and first wife, Virginia "Ginny" (Lucas) Robb.

A celebration of Bert's life will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, 2009 at Goodwin Funeral Home in Vincennes with the Rev. Peter Haskins officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
