Carl Steven Allen, 63, of Patoka, passed away on Monday, Dec. 7, 2009 at home. 

Born Jan. 17, 1946 in Princeton, he was the son of Cecil Robert Allen Sr. and Nona Lillian (Dudley) Allen.

Carl served honorably in both the Army and the Navy during the Vietnam War as a MCB.  On Oct. 27, 1967, he married Dorothy Wilkerson. Together they owned and operated Mr Gatti’s Pizza in Princeton. 

He was a member of the National Rifle Association as well as the Local VFW 1147.

 Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Allen; daughters, Nona (Terry) Carlson of Washington, Ind.. Shannon (Danny) Watson of Blocher; brothers, Clyde (Shirley) Allen of Beaumont, Texas, William (Betty) Shelton of Princeton, Cecil Jr. (Shirley) Allen of Princeton; sister, Barbara Blake of Princeton; eight grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded i n death by his parents.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009 at the Columbia White Church Cemetery located in Princeton  with the VFW  1147 performing military honors.
