Steven K Lewis “Louie,” 54, of Hazelton, passed away Sunday, Dec. 6, 2009 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes.

Born Aug. 22, 1955 in Princeton, he was the son of  Carl and Olive (Marvel) Lewis.

He was a lifelong area resident and local farmer while owning and operating his own excavating business.  On Nov. 3, 1991, he was married to Delaine Sue Carson in Wheeling.

Survivors include his wife, Delaine Sue Lewis; daughters, Sharlena Foster of Middleburg Fla., Renee (Sean) Lynch of Vincennes; sisters, Marilyn Greene of Somerville, Jennifer Tate of Princeton, Deborah (Bob) Fidler of Washington, Ind.  special grandchildren with which he was instrumental in raising, Holden Whipps and Rex Lynch. Also  other grandchildren include, Jessica, Michael, Jeffrey and Destin McClaflin as well as Heather, Hannah, and Andrea O’Neal. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Carl Lee Lewis; and sister, Eunice Imogene Lloyd. 

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009  at Doyle Funeral Home located at 520 S. Main St. Princeton.  Burial will be in Hazelton Community Cemetery in Hazelton. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2009 at the funeral home.
