Helen Catherine Hoefling, 86, of Fort Branch, passed away Wednesday, Dec 23, 2009 at River Oaks Health Campus in Princeton.

Born Feb. 11, 1923 in St Wendel, she was the daughter of Joseph and Louisa (Weiss) Will.

She was married to Norman F. Hoefling.

She was a member of the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Fort Branch, Daughters of Isabella, V.F.W. 2714 Auxiliary and the St Bernadette Auxiliary. She was co-owner of Hoefling Texaco in Fort Branch.

Survivors include her five children, Pam (John) Ridens of Fort Branch, Marla (Phil) Scott of Owensville, Deborah Kuhlman of Glenmoore, Pa., Kenneth (Joy) Hoefling of Fort Branch, Denise (Jack) Kramer of Princeton; four sisters, Rosella (Paul) Meyer of Fort Branch, Heneritta Hahn of St Phillips, Mary Symer of Niles Ill., Clotilda (Robert) Kozlowski of Evansville; 10 grandchildren, John D, Jeffery and Jay Ridens, Kathrine, Carrie and Jennifer Kuhlman. Joshua and Alex Hoefling, Kendra Collins, Will Scott; and 11 great- grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Norman F. Hoefling on Feb. 5, 1976.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 26, 2009 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Fort Branch with Father Tony Ernst and Father John Sasse officiating. A rosary will be recited at the church prior to the funeral mass at 1 pm. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Fort Branch.

Visitation will be 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 26, 2009 at Stodghill Funeral Home on Ind. 168 West in Fort Branch.
