Donald R. Ingler, 86, of Fort Branch, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2009 at St. Mary's Hospital in Evansville.

Born June 23, 1923 in Mt. Carmel, Ill., he was the son of Orville and Bernice (McDonald) Ingler.

Don was a millwright and retired from Whirlpool Corp. in 1988 after 40 years of service. He was a member of the Crossroads Christian Church in Evansville, the Newburgh Masonic Lodge 174 where he was a Past Master and the Evansville Scottish Rite.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann (Lyons) Ingler, five children and their spouses, Donna (Jim) Ducker of Indianapolis, Richard (Valerie) Ingler of Sebring, Fla., Chris Ingler (Donnie Bender) of Haubstadt, David (Kathy) Ingler of Haubstadt, Shawn (Chandra) Ingler of Evansville; two stepdaughters, Shelly (Doug) Peach of Owensville, Jane Raben of Haubstadt; nine grandchildren, Kevin (Libby) Rinehart, Kelly (Matt) Connor, Richard Scott Ingler (Reagan) , Daniel (Allie) Ingler, Julie Van Winkle-Ciyou, (Bryan), Scott Ingler, Kelly (Jennifer) Ingler, Bryan Ingler, Kelsie Ingler, Kyron Rogers; four step grandchildren, Rachel (Zack) Flennor, Emily Raben, Dylan, and Ian Peach; and eight great- grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Helen (Severse) Ingler; second wife, Mona (Poole) Ingler; and two brothers, Billy Schippert and Virgil McDonald.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 31, 2009 at Stodghill Funeral Home on Ind. 168 West in Fort Branch, with the Rev. Todd Busy officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Evansville.

Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2009 at the funeral home. A Masonic service will be conducted at 8 p.m. Wednesday by the Newburgh Masonic Lodge 174 at the funeral home.
