Joseph M. Logestan Sr., 67, passed away Monday, Dec. 28, 2009 at Gibson General Hospital in Princeton

He was born Sept. 21, 1942 in Bicknell to Charles and Lillie (Tooley) Logestan

He lived in Oakland City most of his life. He served in the National Guard and was a member of the Mackey Church of the Nazarene.  He retired from Whirlpool Corp. in Evansville after working there more than 39 years.   

 He is survived by his wife Nancy Logestan; two sons, Joey (Mary) Logestan and Larry (Paula) Logestan both of Oakland City; a daughter, Patricia (Todd) Gentry of Patoka; two sisters, Esther Huelsman of Phoenix, Ariz., Naomi Mowery of Newburgh; six grandchildren, Brandi White, Dakota Phelps, Damon, Hailey, Andrea and Cy Logestan; and two step-grandchildren, Jonathan and Noah Carr.  He always enjoyed his grandchildren.

 He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother; and infant sister.

 Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2009 at Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City, with the Rev. Bill Reed officiating.  Burial will follow in Forsythe Cemetery near Oakland City

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and from 8 a.m. until service time on Wednesday at Corn-Colvin Funeral Home
