William E.”Bill”
Montgomery, 86, of Haubstadt, formerly of

Bill retired from Arkla/Preway
Industries. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church. He was a member
of The Machinist Union. Bill was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II
where was a cannoneer of heavy artillery. He was also
a lifetime member of V.F.W. Post 1114.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda Dixon
and son-in-law Roger of Haubstadt. two nieces, Jo Ann Weyer
of Evansville, Becky Boling of Northfield, Minn.; and a nephew, Jack Varner of
Northfield, Minn.
He was preceded in death by his parents;
wife, Cecilia Montgomery in 2004; three sisters, Mary
Emaline Montgomery, Margaret Varner, Mona Benedict;
and two brothers, Robert and Harold Montgomery.
