Frank J. Anthis, 70, of Vincennes, passed away Jan. 18, 2010 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Evansville.

Born Aug. 31, 1939 in Knox County, he was the son of Frank V. and Bertha Sherman Anthis.

He was a graduate of Decker Chapel High School and Vincennes University. He was married on April 27, 1963 to Emmalene Frey.

He served in the U.S. Army Reserves and was plant manager of Agriculture Business for 43 years.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Emmalene Anthis; children, Mary Angela (Angie)  (Tom) Bartholomew of Vincennes, Gregory “Greg” (Carla) Anthis of Wheatland, Christina Carrie of Vincennes. five grandchildren; brother, James “Jim” Anthis, and his wife Margaret of Vincennes; and sister, Linda Tolbert of Princeton.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Old Cathedral in Vincennes with Father John Schipp will officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home.
