John W. Gorman, 75, passed away after a brief illness on Tuesday Jan. 5, 2010 at the Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.

He was born on May 13, 1934 in Louisville, Ky. to John and  Essie (Pickering) Gorman.

He retired from Midstates Rubber after 38 years as a night shift supervisor.  He also served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He loved outdoors and fishing was his past time.  He was a friend to all who knew him.

John is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Gorman of Princeton; two sisters, Aloma Seleskey of LaGrange, Ky. and Judy Fleming of Columbia, SC; brother, Harry Gorman of Louisville, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Betty Harrison and Frances Griffin.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton. Burial will be at the Oddfellows Cemetery in Princeton. VFW Post 1147 will provide full military rites at the cemetery. There will be no visitation.
