Charles Michael Lanman, 67, of Princeton, passed away Thursday, Jan. 21, 2010 at home.

He was born Feb. 7, 1942 in Princeton.

He retired from the U.S. Army as a dog trainer and handler with the 82nd Military Police K-9 Corps serving in Korea and was also a recipient of the Purple Heart.  He was a member of V.F.W. Post 1147. 

Survivors include brother, James (Margie) Lanman of Princeton; special friend, Donna McIntire; along with his dog, Spot; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather and mother, Kenny and Pauline (Milburn) Turpin; sister, Mary Jo Boeglin; aunts, Josephine Garrett, Almyra Prather; and uncle, Alex Milburn. 

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2010 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Patoka, where V.F.W. Post 1147 will perform military rites.
