Rosemary C. Wolfe, 92 of Princeton, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at Transcendent Healthcare of Owensville. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church where she played the organ for 75 years. She taught piano lessons for many years and also worked at Hitch Packing Company in Princeton for a few years. She was a graduate of Princeton High School class of 1935 and helped organize the reunions. She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella, American Legion Auxiliary, Morning Etude Club and was awarded the Brute' Award.


She was born
February 2, 1917 in Princeton, IN to Edward & Otilda (Schafer) Wirtz, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, August Wolfe on January 27, 1999; sons, Richard Wolfe in 1968 and Tom and Mark, both infants; grandson, Brian Scott Wolfe; brothers, George and Lawrence Wirtz; and a sister, Sister Dennis (Valada) Wirtz.

Rosemary is survived by her son & daughter-in-law, Dr. Joe and Carol Wolfe of Ft. Branch; daughter, Carolyn Wolfe of Patoka; 5 grandchildren, Kelly and Tommy Wolfe, Brian (Emily) Deputy, Krista Deputy and Laurie (Michael) Long; 2 great grandchildren, Tucker Deputy and Jacob Long; sister, Sister Ruth Ann (Delores) Wirtz of Indianapolis; brother & sister-in-law, Edward and Ruth Wirtz of Springhill, Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at
10 A.M. Saturday January 30, 2010 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Princeton, with Father Ronald Zgunda and Father Bernie Etienne officiating. Burial will be at the St. Joseph Cemetery in Princeton. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 P.M. on Friday at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton. The rosary will be prayed at 7:30 PM on Friday evening.
