Evelyn G. Bertram, 76 of Patoka, passed away Thursday, Feb. 11, 2010 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.

She was born July 19, 1933 in Monticello, Ky. to Thomas and Nancy Dunagan and was later adopted by Larry and Thellie Dunagan, all deceased.

She had lived in Gibson County for the past 40 years, moving here from Illinois.

 Evelyn attended the Patoka Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Patoka Order of Eastern Star. She was a former member of Patoka Lions Club. She was a former assistant manager of Kentucky Fried Chicken. She enjoyed traveling in their RV, being with her grandchildren and her cat.

She is survived by her four children, Mary Ina (Wayne) Coody of Madison, Fla., Faye (Allen) Mayhall of Frankfort, Ky., Carolyn “Sue” (Raymond) White and Junior Bertram all of Patoka; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Shirley Spurlin of Albany; three brothers, Norman Dunagan of Rhineyville, Ky., Thomas Dunagan Jr. of California and Elbert J. Dunagan of Ohio.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, James H. Bertram on Feb. 4, 2008; sister, Effie Dunagan; and brother, Leslie Dunagan.

 Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 15, 2010 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with the Rev. William Morris officiating. Burial will be at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Patoka. 

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. An Eastern Star service will be at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
