Larry L.  Longabaugh, 72, passed away Sunday Feb. 14, 2010 at his home in rural Princeton.

He was born April 10, 1937 in Hazleton to Glenn and Mildred (Hoover) Longabaugh.

He was an operating engineer since 1969 working for Old Ben Coal Co. He was a member of Local 181.

 Larry lived in Princeton since 1971 moving there from McCutchanville. He lived on the family farm in Giro prior to that.  He was a graduate of Hazleton High School He was a member of the Hazleton United Methodist Church, Prince Lodge 231, where he was a 32nd degree Mason, member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Evansville and the Hadi Shrine, Princeton Elks Lodge 634, Eagles 361, and Petersburg Moose  1617. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf, traveling and being with his grandchildren.  He still liked to supervise the work done on the farm.

 He is survived by a daughter, Lisa Williams of Princeton; son and daughter-in-law, Glenn and Donna Longabaugh of Hazleton; a brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Ellen Longabaugh of Hazleton; five grandchildren, Jonathan  (Sarah Akers) Williams, Joseph (Jana) Williams, L-Cpl. Jeffrey (Tiffany) Williams, Nathan and Kenna Longabaugh; a special friend, Jerry Ann Jones of Vincennes; sisters-in-law Judy (Bob) Wier of Cincinnati, Ohio,  Ellen (John) Vinson of Hazleton; five nieces; five nephews; and several great nieces and nephews.

 He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Wilma J. “Billie” Longabaugh in 2004.

 Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday Feb. 18, 2010 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. Paul Huntsman officiating.  Burial will follow in the Hazleton Community Cemetery.  

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with a Masonic memorial service and a Hadi Shrine walk-thru at 7:30 p.m.
