Jack M. McCarty,81,ofFortBranch, passed away on Feb. 19, 2010, at SpecialtySelectHospital in Evansville.
Born Dec. 15, 1928 in GibsonCounty to Arthur and Mary McCarty.
Jack worked for the town of Fort Branch and was a security guard. He was a member of
the FortBranchFirstUnitedMethodistChurch, a life member of V.F.W Post 2714 and was a WWII
Survivors include a son, Richard (Tammy)
McCarty of Haubstadt; daughter, Becky McCarty of FortBranch; three grandchildren, Rich McCarty Jr., Melissa Spindler, and Barry McCarty; and two great- grandchildren,
Cameron McCarty and Kelsey Spindler.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his
wife of 45 years, Betty (Watson) McCarty, sisters, Emma Lou Sollman
and Pauline Roberson.
Funeral services for Jack will be at Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2010 at Stodghill Funeral Home
on. Ind. 168 West in FortBranch with the Rev. John Windell
Burial will be in WalnutHillCemetery in FortBranch. Military rites will be conducted by V.F.W. Post
2714 and American Legion Post 194.
Visitation will be on Monday, Feb. 22, 2010 at the funeral home.
