Carroll Allen Williams, 83, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 21, 2010 at the Transcendent Health Care of Owensville.

Born Dec. 28, 1926, he was the son of Noel Lilburn and Edna Alice (Rankins) Williams.

 He was a member of the Old Union Christian Church. Carroll worked at Red Spot paint and was a longtime melon farmer. He was a WWII Army veteran and a member of the Fort Branch, VFW Post 2714.

Survivors include his daughter, Susie Robinson of Poseyville; sisters, Lois Ann Lamar, Sue Scales; brothers, Robert and Bill Williams; four grandchildren, Heather Williams, Heath (Keli) Williams, Andrea (Rob) Huffman, Ryan (Ashley) Robinson; seven great-grandchildren, Jeremy, Levi, Parker and Cooper Williams, Tyler and Natalie Daniel and Easton Robinson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Wanda Lee on May 13, 2006; a son, Carroll Dewayne on Oct. 3, 1996; and brothers, Noel Jr., Jerry and Tom.

 Funeral services will be at 10 a.m.Thursday, Feb. 25, 2010 at Holders Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Westerman officiating. Burial will be in the Maumee Cemetery with military rites.

 Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
