Vonda “Jean” Dawson, 77, passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at home.

She was born in Fort Branch on Aug. 20, 1932 to Luther and Pearl Wilkerson. 

She lived in Princeton most of her life moving here from Fort Branch.  She was a homemaker and an avid reader.

 Jean is survived by three sons, Robert (Shelia) Dawson of Brownsburg, Steven Dawson of Terre Haute, Larry (Kristine) Dawson of Princeton; a special niece like a daughter, Dorothy (David) Douglas of Hazleton; seven grandchildren, Steve Dawson II, Brian Dawson, Laura Dawson, Angie Tokarek, Krisi Poe, Stephanie Weisheit, Elliot Dawson; and nine great-grandchildren, Ben, Ty, Travis, Trevor, Annie, Hope, Bailey, Ava and Eli.

 She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harry R. Dawson on May 9, 1988;  two brothers, Arvil and Jimmy Wilkerson; and two sisters, Frieda Cox and Myrtle Robb.

 Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday March 7, 2010 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Brian Cook officiating.  Burial will follow in the Maple Hill Cemetery in Princeton

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Saturday at Colvin Funeral Home.
