He was a member of St.
Philip Neri Catholic Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1157, French Club,
Elks Lodge and American Legion.
Surviving are two daughters,
Diana Fidler and her husband, Dale, of Princeton, and Pat Becher of Bicknell; a
son, Mark Becher and his wife,Susan, of Bicknell; daughter-in-law, Sara Becher
of Henryville; three brothers, Frank Becher of Winston-Salem, N.C., and Bill
and Donnie Becher, both of Vincennes; four sisters, Germaine Graman and Judy
Doyle of Vincennes, Becky Price of Chrisney and Nancy Lasher of Jasper; eight
grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by
his parents, Herbert Becher and Frances (Meyer) Becher; his wife, Joan
(Merkley) Becher; one son, Mike Becher; and a sister,Virlie McMann.
