James Ray Sartore, 71, of Patoka, passed away on Monday April 5, 2010 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.

He was born Aug. 10, 1938 in Evansville to Andrew “Bud” and Marie (Weyer) Sartore.

He was a production engineer for Potter & Brumfield for 28 years and also at Holzmeyer Tool & Die for 11 years. He served in the U.S. Army.

He was a graduate of Mater Dei High School and Purdue University.  He was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his wife, Darlene (Hedrick) Sartore of Patoka; seven children, Dr. J. Christopher (Rose) Sartore, Gary E. (Barbara) Sartore, Thomas A. (Julie) Sartore, Deborah V. Morrell, Mary Beth (Joe) Schitter, Valerie C. (Scott) McKannan, David Ray (Tory) Sartore; brother, William A. Sartore; a sister, Judith A. Sartore. 20 grandchildren, Justin Bryant, Skylar Sartore, Lyndsey Damm, Amanda Sartore, Rosanna Sartore, Breanna Sartore, Jace McKannan, Katrina Sartore, Aaron McKannan, David Ray Sartore Jr, Sara Sartore, Nick McKannan, Hanna Sartore, Morgan Schitter, Logan Sartore, Emma Sartore, Taylor McKannan, Tommy Sartore, Jackson Sartore, Abreyah Sartore; and two great grandchildren, Kaydence Leyde and Nevaeh Trusty.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

There will be services at a later date.  Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton is in charge of arrangements.
