Clarence E. Hunt, 87 passed away Saturday May 22, 2010 at home in Princeton

He was born Jan. 2, 1923 in Gibson County to Purley and Opal (Clem) Hunt. 

He was a retired farmer and oil field worker.  He was a veteran of WW II where he served in the U.S. Army Air Corp.  He lived is Gibson County all of his life.  He was a life member of the VFW Post 1147.  He loved to play golf and was a former member of the Princeton Country Club.  He was also an avid Kentucky Wildcats fan.

 He is survived by his wife of nearly 64 years, Marjorie (Lockyear) Hunt of Princeton; three daughters and sons-in-law, Beverly and Tom Meier of Newburgh, Susan and Clinton Pecord of Cache, Ill.,  Donna and Jeff Cook of Princeton, two, sisters, Elizabeth Elliott of Newburgh, Mary Phillips of Oakland City; two brothers,  Don Hunt of Princeton, Jack Hunt of Petersburg; six grandchildren, Kelly Solis, Rusty Meier, Natalie Cash, Skyler, Atlee, Brynn Cook; two step-grandchildren, Christopher Cook, Jeff Pecord; and 11 great- grandchildren.

 He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Edith Cusick and Dorothy Utley; and two brothers, Arthur and Roscoe Hunt.

 Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday May 26, 2010 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with the Rev. Greg Davis officiating.  Burial will follow in the Union Community Cemetery in Union. VFW Post 1147 will conduct military gravesides services.  

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
