Margie Marie Adler, 83, of Haubstadt, passed away Sunday, June 6, 2010 at home.

Born Jan. 11, 1927 in Haubstadt, she was the daughter of Albert and Rose (Obert) Martin.

She graduated from the Immaculate Conception Academy in Ferdinand. She was a member of the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Haubstadt, and was an active member of the Haubstadt Daughters of Isabella and the Haubstadt American Legion Post 194 Womens Auxiliary.

She enjoyed quilting, sewing, playing bingo, cards, watching Cardinal’s baseball games, and spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Norbert E. Adler; nine children and their spouses, Patricia (Edward) Reinhart of Fort Branch, Thomas (Marilyn) Adler of Bend Ore., David (Linda) Adler of Brownsburg, Joan Kays of Haubstadt, Susan (Ronald) Forney of Evansville, Jeffrey (Cynthia) Adler of Haubstadt, Mary Jo (Patrick) Braun of Newburgh, Barbara (Jeffrey) Spindler of Haubstadt, Daniel Adler if Fishers; a sister, Betty Hirsch of Haubstadt; 19 grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ronald Martin; son in-law, Howard Kays; daughter in-law, Joanne Adler; and brother in-law, Roy Hirsch..

A mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 10, 2010 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Fathers Tony Ernst and John Sasse the celebrants. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be 2-8 p.m.  Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at Stodghill Funeral home on Ind. 168 West in Fort Branch and again from 9 a.m. until service time at the church on Thursday. A Rosary will be recited by the church parish at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
